Multi-Purpose Post

Guys today one of my co-workers lost everything she owned in a house fire. This young lady is 18yrs old, and has no family support at all. She is working and putting herself through college. She came in to see us tonight smelling like house smoke, and wondering where she's going to get clothes to come to work Saturday night. We are raising money at work to help her out, but i'll ask that you all remember this special young lady. Here i was spending my day in a sour mood because i'm not at the state wrestling tournament with my 17-year old charge who is a Kelly senior as most of you all know. Things sure were put in perspective for me today though.
On a better note: Congrats to Rambo on his promotion to the rank of Lt Commander with the Civilian Air Patrol. Good job Mr. Hayes-see i told you you'd make the Coalfield one day. sometimes we get so caught up in our own stuff that things happen that really put things into a new light.
sorry for your friend's loss. House fire is a huge worry for me too because of our dogs in the house. I'm afraid something would happen to them. I could lose the house as long as the dog's were ok.

My first thought was girl is 18 and had a home, sign me up *lol* Ok that wasn't my first thought, but it sounds like someone I would say, so I said it. My first thought actually nicer, is there any kind of donation box or something for her? Fire is one thing I actually fear and is a source of nightmares I remember.....just curious. If there is more info, let us know...

We are working on getting something set up for her. When i get the info, i'll pass it along. Thanks guys-another reminder that despite our differences, there are some really good folks and friends on this lil forum.
